The thyroid gland hormones regulate the body’s metabolism and affect growth and development, while the parathyroid glands regulate calcium levels. Several disorders can affect the function of the glands leading to adverse effects.  This focal point will concentrate on the management of these disorders, including, symptoms, testing and medical and non-medical interventions.
